It is with deep love and heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Theresa Eliza Lopez-Stock, who went home to be with the Lord on August 19, 2025, at 10:00 p.m., surrounded by love in the comfort of her home.
Terri was born on October 11, 1958, in Belize, to Kathleen & Pablo Guizar. At the young age of 7, she came to the United States with her four brothers to begin a new life. She grew to become a woman of faith, strength, and kindness, dedicating her life to her family and her walk with Christ.
For more than 25 years, she worked as an office manager at AON Home Warranty, where her dedication and compassion touched many lives. She later continued her career managing a doctor’s office, always bringing warmth and grace into her work.
Above all, she was a devoted mother, a loyal sister, a caring friend, a loving aunt, a devoted wife, and a faithful Christian. Six years ago, she endured two major strokes that left her unable to read, write, or speak yet her radiant spirit and unwavering love continued to shine through. She had a special way of expressing love that needed no words.
She is survived by her beloved daughter, Melissa, her husband Richard, her brothers, Paul, Demetri, and Tito; and many nieces, nephews, extended family members, and friends who will forever cherish her memory. She was preceded in death by her brother Emilio Guizar, Pablo Guizar, and Kathleen Guizar.
Her legacy is one of faith, perseverance, and unconditional love. Though she will be deeply missed, we find comfort in knowing she is now in the arms of her Savior.
Visitation will be held on Thursday August 28th, 2025 from 5:00PM-9:00PM at the Christian Funeral Home 3526 N Cicero Ave, Chicago, IL 60641. Funeral details to follow at wake.
