Sylvia L. Rodriguez-Castro, 36, of Chicago, Illinois. Passed away on Thursday, May 13th 2021 at 2:32 PM.
Born March 15th, 1985 in Chicago, Illinois. She is survived by her loving husband, Jonathan Castro, son Josiah Torres (12 years old), and daughter Jenaya Castro (9 years old).
Sylvia was a beautiful, charismatic, and vivacious person. She was known for her relentless faith, always singing her favorite songs, being a nurturing mother & devoted wife, and cooking delicious meals.
Describing Sylvia as a fighter falls short of explaining who she was. She faced great adversity in her life, yet never gave up. She had a difficult 7 year battle with leukemia, but didn’t quit doing everything possible to survive for her family. She defeated all odds and got her bachelors in Computer Information Systems after relapsing for the 3rd time. That’s just one example of how determined she was to not let any obstacles stop her from achieving her goals.
There is no more pain and suffering for Sylvia, and she will be reunited with her family and loved ones in heaven. Until then, we have an angel watching over us. We will make her proud and keep our promise to take care of her husband and children.
