Stephen John Bye

Stephen “Steve” John Bye, 68 of Schaumburg, IL, went to be with the Lord on Monday, October 22, 2018 after a brief illness at Alexian Brothers Hospital. 

Steve was born in Chicago on September 18, 1950 to Edward and Janette Bye. Steve was a beloved husband of 43 years and devoted father and grandfather. He was a firm believer in the Lord and taught Sunday school and was a deacon for many years at Messiah Baptist Church. He will be deeply missed by his friends, family, and all who knew him.

Steve is survived by his parents, Edward and Janette Bye; his wife Vicki Bye (née Grischow); his children, Beth (David) Drewniak and Crystal (Jason) Laux; grandfather of Emma, Abigail, Austin, and Madison; brother of Edward (Bonnie) Bye and Robert (Lisa) Bye.

Visitation will be held from 4-7 pm on Thursday, October 25, 2018 at Messiah Baptist Church, 600 S. Villa Ave., Addison, IL 60101. Following the visitation, a service will be held at 7 pm. Pastor David Aycock and Bob Tetrick will officiate.
