Rosalinda F. Pajak, born September 11, 1948, went home to be with her Lord and Savior on Tuesday, February 24, 2026. She was surrounded by her family in her home as she took her last breath on earth and entered the presence of her Lord.
Although born and raised in Texas, Rose, as she was known to many, followed one of her older brothers to Chicago when just 18, quickly embracing the city as her own. She loved biking everywhere—especially to the lake and Montrose Harbor. Along the way, she worked at W.F. Hall Printing Co., where she met Chicago native Daniel Pajak, Sr., whom she soon married.
In 1980, Rosalinda’s co-worker invited her to Mayfair Bible Church, where she first heard the gospel of Christ. Rosalinda would say she was immediately convicted and surrendered to Jesus Christ, a moment that shaped the rest of her life. She began taking her children to church, and her husband came to faith a year later. Her faith was evident in the passionate way she shared her testimony with her family, friends, and everyone she met.
Rosalinda was a devoted grandmother, a natural baby nurturer, and, when time allowed, an avid watcher of Bigfoot documentaries and any British TV show, topics many in her family delighted in discussing with her. Above all, she was a prayer warrior for her ever-growing family.
Rosalinda is survived by her beloved husband of 55 years, Daniel J. Pajak, Sr., and their children: Daniel (Rebekah), Corey (Emerald), Michael, and Elida Gonzalez. She was blessed with many grandchildren: Victoria (Ribelino Boyas), Heidi Ball, Gabriel (Caroline) Gonzalez, Jonathan (Morgan Hudgens) Gonzalez, Emma Pajak, Ceana Pajak, Anna Pajak and Josefina Pajak, and cherished by 12 great-grandchildren: Andrew, Isaac, Olivia, Joseph, Elijah, Audrey, Lilyana, Aaron, Abigail, Naomi, Ethan & Tuff.
Rosalinda was preceded in death by her parents, Refugio and Syria Bayardo, 8 siblings: Hector Aguirre, Consuelo Aguirre, Jesusa Aguirre, Elida DeLuna, Juanita Corona, Refugio Bayardo, Alma Castaneda, and Gloria Labon, and three grandchildren: Jasmine, Michael & Blessing Pajak.
Visitation for Rosalinda will be on Monday, March 2, 6 - 8 PM & Tuesday, March 3, 9 - 10 AM at Bethel Community Church, 7601 W Foster Ave., Chicago, 60656. A Celebration of Life Service will be held at Bethel Community Church on Tuesday, March 3, at 10 AM, followed by internment at Irving Park Cemetery.
