Odilio Calderon passed on August 9th, 2020 at age of 69.

Odilio was born in Ipala, Guatemala on November 4th, 1950. He was one of 12 brother and sisters who were children of Elias Calderon Guillen and Maria Olivia Pleitez. He was the oldest of all the brothers and made sure he always watched over all the younger siblings. Odilio from a young age was a laborer and loved to play soccer.

Odilio married Gudelia Esperanza Alas on December 22, 1974 in Guatemala and in 1978 he came to Chicago, IL to live out his life with Esperanza. Odilio was a father of Marilu, Marvin, and lastly Alexander. He did everything for his children and raised us to be bilingual, get an education, and be kind to others.

Odilio was a man of great character, great heart, and love his family. He was an honorable man that will stay in our hearts forever. May he rest peacefully in heaven.
