Maria Corral

It is with great sorrow that we announce the passing of our beloved Mother, Grandmother, and Mother-in-Law, Maria Corral. She was born in Corrales, Durango, Mexico, on August 17, 1933, and passed away peacefully on August 14, 2025, surrounded by her loving family.  She married the love of her life, Eulalio Corral, and together had nine children. They lived in Chicago, where they created their home for many years and raised their loving kids.

Our mother will always be remembered as a devoted mother, grandmother, and mother-in-law, someone who always had a smile for all of us and put us first. Even though her health problems sometimes prevented her from doing the things she wanted to do. She always had that loving determination to make sure we had our favorite foods whenever we visited. She did everything possible to make us feel welcome, listened to us without judgment, and was always there for us, ready to help at any time.

As a mother-in-law, she made her daughter, and sons-in-law feel welcome in her family. She taught us how to cook favorite foods, such as tamales, green chili, soup, and enchiladas. We will never forget the kindness she gave us by teaching us cooking lessons and always being there for everything. Sometimes, she would listen to us and offer her wisdom when raising our children was a challenge for us. We will never forget her as a woman who worked hard for her family and taught us that, with faith in God, one can always find the strength to overcome life's challenges.

It was an honor to have her as a mother, grandmother, and mother-in-law. We will never forget her as our loving and affectionate Mother and Grandma.

She is at rest, but she will live forever in our hearts.
