Luis R Martinez

Luis R Martinez, 77, of Chicago; passed away peacefully on August 30, 2024, surrounded by his loving family.  Born on October 6, 1946, in Naguabo, Puerto Rico, Luis was the beloved husband of Luz Miriam Guadalupe Martinez and a devoted father to Jadis Orlando Ocasio.  Luis arrived to New York in the early 1970s before becoming a resident of Chicago in 1979.  He worked as a radio host a WSCR, a Christian Radio station, for 3 years.  He was Pastor of a small community church in Belmont Cragin area for nearly 15 years.  Luis will be remembered for his kindness, generosity and unwavering faith.  A funeral service will be held at Christian Funeral Home on 9/4/2024 @ 5pm.  In lieu of flowers please consider donations to the United Network for Organ Sharing (UNOS).
