Kathleen Kolstad

Kathleen Anne Vigus-Kolstad passed away peacefully on May 24th 2021 at Amita Health Adventist Medical Center at La Grange, IL at the age of 77.

Kathleen was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and great grandmother.

Born in Chicago to William H. Vigus and Anne Vigus on December 6th, 1943, Kathy attended Pilsbury College in Minnesota for a time where she met her now husband James Kolstad, married in 1963. She briefly worked for the Wrigley Gum company until she became a homemaker with the birth of her children, William, Kimberly, and Allen. She was a very talented crafter in all different medias and she served our Lord at her local church. 

Kathleen is survived by her husband James Kolstad; children, William Kolstad, Kimberly Kolstad (son-in-law James Bradley), Allen Kolstad (daughter-in-law Janice); her grandchildren Benjamin Bradley, William Bradley (wife Maria Bradley), Elizabeth Serritos (husband John Serritos); her great-grandchildren Daisy Serritos (whom Kathleen was happily waiting her second great granddaughter); and her sisters Betty Jean Rangle (husband John Rangle), and Nancy Gowron (husband George Gowron).

Kathleen will be honored in a private, family-only funeral. A memorial service will be held on Wednesday June 9th at 7 PM at New Hope Church, 5100 115th st. in Alsip, IL 60803
