Judith Lynn Winters

Judith (Judy) Lynn Ackerman Winters, age 83, of Itasca Il. Went to be with the Lord on July 21, 2025 after a long battle with strokes. She fought on with admiral might and determination. Judy was born on November 5, 1941, in Ironton Ohio, to John and Blanche Ackerman. Judy loved to entertain in her home making dinner for church family and friends. She would really do it up at Christmas filling her home with people and love. She enjoyed crafts such as embroidery, crochet and plants (indoor and outdoor). She loved watching football especially Cincinnati Bengals and Ohio State Buckeyes. She was involved in her community attending various events and swim. Judy had an amazing heart for children to know Jesus, she served in Awana Clubs for many years. She was also a member of the church choir until she could no longer be involved. Judy is survived by her husband Ralph of Itasca IL, five children Terri (Chance), Penny (Ray), Phyllis, Kenneth “Johnny” and Karla (David), preceded in death are her two brothers Bill, Ronald “Butch” four surviving siblings Melinda Ackerman, Bob Ackerman, David Ackerman and Jane Rudmann. She was blessed with 15 grandchildren and many great grandchildren Services will be held Friday July 25, 2025 at Messiah Baptist Church in Addison Illinois visitation will be from 4-6 pm followed by celebration of life service 6-7 pm In lieu of flowers donations can be made in her name towards Awana clubs at Messiah Baptist Church
