Joseph (Joe) A. Glasen

Joseph A. Glasen, 59, passed away peacefully after a long illness on Wednesday, November 28, 2018, at McLeod Hospice House in Florence, SC. Memorial services were held Saturday, December 1, 2018 at 12:00 pm at Kannaday Funeral Home Chapel in Dillon, SC. A memorial service in Chicago, IL will take place on Saturday, January 5, 2019 at 1pm at Christian Funeral Home. 

Joe was born in Charleston, SC, August 17, 1959 the son of Ronald and Claire Glasen of Munster, IN. He lived in Dillon and was formerly of Chicago, IL. Joe retired after spending over thirty years of service as a Social Worker at Anexter Center in Chicago, IL. Left to cherish his memory is his spouse, Pelom (Tip) Summers of the home.

Along with his spouse and parents his is survived by his brothers, Rocky Browning (Susan), Cory Glasen (Lori), brother-in-law, Thomas Tuider (Teresa); sister-in-law, Deanna Mellas (Robert), Joanne Tuider and Sandra Summers (Ralph); and many nieces and nephews. He was a proud Godfather of Justin Glasen of Munster, IN, Avery Johnson and Maxwell Johnson, both of Mt. Prospect, IL. Joe was also the father to his fur babies, Oliver and Charlie.

He was predeceased by his brother-in-law, William Tuider and Richard Tuider (Sharon); sister-in-law, Joyce Tuider and Kimberly A. Summers.
