Josefina Delgado
January 8, 1932 – December 11, 2021, Chicago, IL
Josefina was born in Iguala, Gro., Mexico the youngest of 4 sisters resting in peace (Carmen Pichardo, Maria Badillo, Rafaela Pichardo). Josefina visited Chicago in 1970 and finally emigrating permanently in 1972 with 3 of her children with the 4th finishing her studies in Mexico and joining the family at a later date. Josefina resided in Wicker Park prior to moving to the beautiful neighborhood of Logan Square in Chicago, where she lived the majority of her life. Josefina passed away peacefully in her sleep, at home on Saturday December 11, 2021. She is Survived by her 4 Children; daughter Yolanda Garcia (husband Juan Garcia, sons Johnny – Alex – Christian), daughter Irma Salgado (husband Marcelo Salgado, daughters Jacqueline Toledo and Vanessa Medina), son Jorge Marchan (wife Patricia Sokup-Marchan, daughters Anika and Bianca), son Francisco Javier Marchan (wife Harriette Marchan, sons Payton – Colt – Ronin), and great grandchildren Anthony Toledo, Leah and Liam Medina. Survived by various nieces and nephews of which Josefina welcomed Alicia Badillo and Emanuel Mena into her home. Josefina was a wonderful, loving, caring, and fun soul. Family parties were always held at “Chata’s house,” where countless of wonderful memories have been created and are cherished.
Josefina, your sacrifices will never be forgotten. The warmth and love you shared will always remain in our hearts.
