John Ress

Our beloved father, John James Ress, passed away on Wednesday, December 17, 2025. He was 84 years old. He is survived by his beloved wife of 54 years, Lia; father of Helen (Pantelis), Jimmy, Galateia (John); adored grandfather to four cherished grandchildren; dear sibling of Elizabeth (the late Stathis) Spanos, the late Despina (Maki) Venetos, Dino (Elizabeth), the late Stavros (Haris), and the late Nickolas (Alkmini); and fond uncle to many nieces and nephews.

Visitation is scheduled for Friday, December 26, 2025, from 11:00 a.m. The funeral service will begin at 11:30 a.m. at Holy Taxiarhai and St. Haralambos Greek Orthodox Church, 7373 North Caldwell Avenue, Niles, IL. Interment will follow at Montrose Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. Haralambos Greek Orthodox Church, Niles, IL.
