Heylen Diaz Castro was born on February 15, 1971 in Alajuela, Costa Rica. She was the beloved daughter of Francisco and Marina Castro. On February 19th, Heylen’s long and powerful fight with pancreatic cancer came to an end. Heylen was extremely talented and crafty, exhibiting mastery level skill in crochet, assemblage and much more. Her energetic and happy aura always lit up the room and inspired others to be the best versions of themselves. Heylen absolutely loved her family and always went out of her way to ensure their happiness and safety. She was well known in her family for her delicious meals, and her signature dish was her amazing pozole, made with so much love.
Heylen was a loving wife to Juan Diaz for 29 years. She was an extraordinary mother to her beautiful four children: Samantha, Ashley, Brandon, and Leilani. She was a precious grandmother to Noah and Jonah Garcia. Heylen was 6th youngest sibling of 8 her 8 siblings: Yolanda, Deneb, Francisco, Randall, Fergus, Janes, and Desiree. She had wholesome relationships with all of her siblings, always laughing and supporting each other. Heylen was an amazing aunt to many nieces and nephews.
