Helen Vaporis

Helen May Vaporis, age 88, of Arlington Heights, passed away Sunday, November 12, 2023 with
family by her side. Helen was predeceased by her loving husband, Rene Vaporis in 1995. Helen
is survived by four children: Ruth (Jay) Davis, Mark (Chris) Vaporis, Deborah (Bruce) Piazza and
Tim (Donna) Vaporis. She was blessed with 14 grandchildren: Joshua Piazza, Lauren Shorey,
Melissa Siers, Rachel DeFelice, Jessica Hylander, Sarah Finn, Jacob Vaporis, Zachary Vaporis,
Becca Locke, Katie Lazaro, Luke Vaporis, Nicole Rivera, David Vaporis (deceased 1995) and
Caroline Garcia along with 28 great-grandchildren.

Helen was a nurse which came in handy raising four children. She and Rene loved to travel,
taking the family on many camping trips all across the United States and multiple canoe trips to
the Boundary Waters. They also had the opportunity to visit the Holy Land multiple times.
Helen was saved at an early age and raised her children to love her Lord and Savior, Jesus
Christ.

If then you have been raised with Christ, seek the things that are above, where Christ is, seated
at the right hand of God. Set your minds on things that are above, not on things that are on
earth. For you have died, and your life is hidden with Christ in God. When Christ who is your life
appears, then you all will appear with him in glory. Put to death therefore what is earthly in
you. Colossians 3:1-5

Burial will be private.
