Gary Karczewski

Gary Anthony Karczewski, Chicago, Il. passed away on July 29, 2025 at the age of 38.  Gary was born on May 6, 1987 to Lorean Karczewski in Chicago, Il. Gary was raised by his mom and Grandma and also considered his Uncle Mark an important person in his life.  He attended Lane Tech High School where he graduated in 2005. Upon graduation, Gary worked for Dominick’s grocery and after a time found his home at Jewel Osco since 2014.   

Gary is survived by his long-time girlfriend, Mellissa McGinniss of Chicago. His Aunt Kathy (Wendell) Harley of Elburn, Il., cousin Tammy Wheatley of Elgin, Il, and cousin Tom (Jill) Jensen of Newhall, Ca.  Gary was preceded in death by his Mom Lorean, Grandma Jean and Uncle Mark.

A memorial time of sharing will be on Sat Sept 6, 2025 from 10am to 2pm. During the last hour there will be a time to honor the life of Gary and for family and friends to share memories.  Burial will be private.
