Carlos Enrique Garcia, who was 51 years old, resided in the Jefferson Park neighborhood on the north side of Chicago. He passed away Sunday, March 3rd from a suspected heart attack around 8:15 pm. He was beloved husband of Ana, loving father of Veronica, Charles, Crystal, and Sonia, and cherished grandfather of Anthony, Larissa, Santana, Avery, and Viviana. Carlos was a caring son of Maria, one of three brothers, and five sisters, as well as uncle to 7 nieces and 5 nephews. He was born in Guatemala City, Guatemala where he then migrated to the states when he was 12 years old.
Carlos demonstrated concern, care, and love towards every individual. He prioritized the needs of others over his own and ensured to be available for everyone. With a liberal spirit and artistic mind, he expressed himself in his own creative way, unique between every individual. Whether it was through a punch on the arm, a bear hug, a fist pump, a high five, a kiss on the cheek, or yelling your name across the room. He knew how to make an entrance, making his presence known. Whenever Carlos was around, you knew there would be no silence, he was the life of the party.
The Lord has welcomed an angel, as we have gained a guardian. This is not good-bye as we will meet within our own time. May you visit us in our dreams, protect us, and remain forever in our memories. Rest in peace our Guardian Angel. We love you and miss you.
