Andres Luis Montijo, 69, of Chicago. Andres Luis Montijo was born on August 12th, 1952 in Ciales, Puerto Rico. He was the beloved son of the late Juan Luis and Marcolina Montijo. On February 10th, 2022, Andres unexpectedly passed away. He was a retired employee of the Department of Streets and Sanitation in Chicago. Not only was he a sports enthusiast, but he was also an amazing athlete and loved the games of basketball, baseball, and football - always known for his amazing predictions of the Super Bowl winners! Andres was a true fan of the Chicago Bears, Chicago Cubs, and the Dodgers. A passion for fishing, he loved going to the lake early in the morning to fish. Chef of the best tostones ever made, he had a love for cooking.
An amazing husband to his wife, Alma Ilia. Loving father of Iris (Esteban) Montijo-Shedd and Michael (Ariana) Montijo. Blessed grandfather of Zion Shedd, Judah Shedd, Josiah Shedd, Imani Shedd, and Odin Montijo. Dear brother of the late Jose Montijo. Beloved brother to Lucy (Francisco) Alba, Rosa Cordero Montijo, Tony (Lucy) Montijo and Ray (Heidi) Montijo. Fond uncle of many nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews.
