Maria Shamon (nee Nader) was welcomed into Heaven on April 14th, 2019, Palm Sunday.
Born the youngest of ten children in the Assyrian city of Kirkuk, Iraq, Maria made her way to the United States of America in 1969 to begin a new life and family. She was 17 years old.
Maria worked loyally for companies such as Grainger, Prudential, and Walgreens.
Maria was beloved by all that knew her. She was a renowned for her cooking skills and her amazing smile. She was the kindest person anyone would know.
Her greatest power was love.
Maria is survived by her three loving children Ronnie Khoshaba, Nicholas Shamon, and Vanessa Shamon; two siblings David Nader, and Helen Yousif; her grandson Sebastian Khoshaba; and many loving cousins, nieces and nephews here in Chicagoland and around the world.
On Palm Sunday Jesus entered Jerusalem making the ultimate sacrifice so that we can be set free of death.
"Jesus said to her, 'I am the resurrection and the life; he who believes in Me will live even if he dies,'"John 11:25
Maria will always smile.
