Angel Luis Gomez

Angel Luis Gomez Jr. was born on February 18, 1983 in Chicago, IL. He left us to be with the Lord on 1/1/2020 at the age of 36. 

Angel, known to close family as Luis, was a devoted father, son, brother, cousin, nephew, and friend. He is survived by his son Acire, mother Haydee, father Angel, stepmother Evelyn, sister Tamara (husband Syed), niece Novali, nephew Jacob, and many uncles, aunts, and cousins.

Luis had a heart of gold which is evident in all of the people that loved him. His light and laughter attracted people like a moth to a flame, even on his darkest days he was able to laugh and uplift those around him. He was loyal to a fault and would give someone the shirt off of his back if he knew it would help them. When life threw curves at him, he always found a way to persevere.

Luis was an amazing father, everything he did was for Acire. Nothing ever came in the way of him being there and providing for his son.

He loved fiercely and will be fiercely missed. 

Visitation will be held on Sunday, January 5 from 4:00 pm to 9:00 pm at Christian Funeral Home, 3100 W. Irving Park Road, Chicago, IL 60618. Funeral will follow on Monday, January 6. We will depart from Christian Funeral Home at about 1 pm. The funeral will take place at Resurrection Catholic Cemetery, 7201 Archer Avenue, Justice, IL, 60458.
