James W. Fisher “Jimmy”

December 15, 1941 ~ February 16, 2020 (age 78)

On Sunday, February 16, 2020, James Wayne Fisher loving father, grandfather and great grandfather went to be with his Lord and Savior at the age of 78.

Jim was born on December 15, 1941 in Sissonville, WV to Milford and Mary (Crank) Fisher. He brought joy and laughter to everyone. Through God people were drawn to him because he made them feel special. He took the time to get to know people and to listen to them. He was a faithful servant of the Lord.

Jim was preceded in death by his father, Milford, his mother, Mary and his daughter Jayme (Peter) Emmons. He is survived by his wife, Glenda Fisher, his children Sonja (Fisher) O’Brien, Allen Fisher & his wife Carrie, Dayna (Peter) Gillham and her husband Tim, and George Peter & his wife Dorothy. His grandchildren Shawn O’Brien and his wife Autumn, Gabriel Fisher and Tristian Fisher, Tim Gillham, Candace Gillham (Dean), Dustin Emmons (Emily), Jonathon Emmons, Lee Peter, Van Peter & Ian Peter. His great-grandchildren Emma O’Brien, Molly O’Brien, Logan O’Brien, Clark O’Brien, Anthony Rosner, Ryleigh Rosner, Harper Ann Emmons & Esther J Emmons. His sister, Joann Ballinger & her husband Jerry, and his brother David Fisher & his wife Sue and several nieces, nephews and cousins whom he loved very much.

A celebration of his life will be held on Monday, March 2, 2020 at Bethel Baptist Church, 200 N. Roselle Rd., Schaumburg IL 60194 at 7PM with visitation starting at 6PM.
