David J McCarville

David J. McCarville, 72, of Palatine, IL, passed away on April 8, 2024. He was born on
January 26, 1952. David grew up in Milwaukee, WI, and attended Washington High
School. 

David was a devoted husband to Lulu McCarville, and a loving stepfather to the late
Rita Cruz, Jocelyn (Ferdinand) Catotal, Celine Buan, Teresa Rimorin, Lourdes Enciso,
Consolacion Barnachea, and Kristine De Ocampo. He was a beloved grandfather and
great-grandfather. He is survived by his siblings, Mike McCarville, John McCarville,
Mary (Keith) Willeford, Jim (Mary) McCarville, Kathy (Steve) Lorenz, Tom McCarville
(Pat), Judy (Vaughn) Schultz, Margaret McCarville, and many nieces, nephews, and
cousins. He was preceded in death by his parents John and Ruth McCarville, brother
Dennis (Linda) McCarville, and sisters-in-law, Sue McCarville and Pat McCarville.
David's absence leaves a tremendous loss in the lives of family members and many
dear friends. Blessed are those who knew him and his kindness, hard work, and
generosity. David cherished his family, especially his grandchildren and great-
grandchildren. He dedicated his life to helping others. In his younger years, he enjoyed
hunting and was very good at it. He was a steamfitter and union member of Local 601
for many years. David was a devoted church member and deacon at the Church of
Christian Liberty. He loved football and cheering on the Green Bay Packers, telling
jokes and stories, visiting new places, woodworking, and working with his hands. What
he loved most, however, was spending time with his family.

Visitation for David will be held on Thursday, April 11, 2024, from 4:00 PM to 6:30 PM at
the Church of Christian Liberty, 502 W. Euclid Avenue, Arlington Heights, IL 60004. The
service will commence at 7:00 PM. Burial will take place on Friday, April 12, 2024, at
10:00 AM at St. John Cemetery, 2200 E. Euclid Avenue, Arlington Heights, IL 60004.
